Chiang Rai

Chiang Rai, Thailand, Aug 2013

Chiang Rai was beautiful. We stayed at the Bamboo Nest in a bamboo hut amidst a landscape of mountains and jungle. We lounged in our hammock and watched a passing storm. We hiked to a nearby hill tribe and swam in a waterfall. We met travelers from around the world and talked with our hosts around a bonfire while looking up at the stars. We relaxed for three days straight, removed entirely from the city and from the internet. It was a much needed break. If you are seeking a refuge in Northern Thailand, I urge you to contact this place.
