What I like about Michigan in the summertime is how everything 'wakes' up. I love the sounds of birds chirping when I'm waking up in the morning. I love the smell of fresh cut grass after a summer rain. Everything is so green and alive!
I love Michigan. I love the trees in the fall, the Lakes at any time of year -- Spring, Summer, or Wintry-frozen -- the people, the food (pasties), and the down-home Michigan charm. From deer-watching in the northern forests, to kayaking down the Au Sable, to the Iosco Falls, to the Picture Rocks, to Mackinac Island, to the engineering marvel that is the Mackinac Bridge, to the quaintness of Frankenmuth, to the Capitol in Lansing -- I love it!
I’m an American expat residing in South Korea with my husband. I want to create meaningful images and stories. EFL teacher by day, photographer and Dungeon Master by night. Addicted to kimchi, coffee, and stories about magic. Perpetually on the move.

Mom - you should get your butt to Lake Michigan! You have time!
ReplyDeleteBen - you put this far more eloquently than I did. :)
